SFD Holds Annual Installation
The Seaford Fire Department held its' annual Installation Dinner on Saturday, April 26th at the Milleridge Cottage. The 2008 Chiefs and Line Officers as well as Seaford Hook, Ladder and Engine Co. #1 officers were installed. In addition, the Ladies Auxiliary officers were installed. Chief Tom Lacetes and President Wayne Truitt from the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department in Delaware were in attendance as well as Chiefs and Commissioners from our neighboring 6th Battalion departments.
A Life Saving award went to 2nd Assistant Chief Bob Podesta and Ex-Chief Carl Meyer for the successful resuscitation of a cardiac arrest patient. Firemedic Kristy Richko won the award for the most EMS responses in 2007. Ex-Chief Wes Weeks won the overall highest percentage award for 2007. Firemedic Kristy Richko won the Lt. Keith P. Kern Member of the Year Award.
