SFD Explorers Train
Recently, members of the Seaford Fire Department Explorers Post 680 conducted training on auto extrication. Under the direction of advisors; FF’s Nickdow and Gale, the explorers practiced extrication techniques that enable firefighters to remove patients who are pinned in vehicles following an auto accident.
The Explorers are open to boys and girls, 14-18. They meet two times a month and practice and train in many of the same subject areas as the firefighters and firemedics do. Please stop by the firehouse located at 2170 Southard Ave. any Wednesday evening after 7:30 if you are interested in joining the Explorers!
